MMA, opposition parties block highways in Balochistan

QUETTA: The Mutahida Majlis e Amal (MMA) and Joint Opposition on Wednesday blocked all highways in Balochistan alleging the General Elections were manipulated and blatant rigging was reported during polls.
Acting upon the protest call by central leaders of MMA and Opposition parties, dozens of protesters took to the road protesting against what they alleged rigged elections.
All Major highways in Balochistan were blocked by demonstrators and all traffic were suspended due to protests.
The newly elected MPA Molvi Noorullah along with his supporters protest in Qilla Saifullay Highway and said, today the whole nation on roads against the biased attitude of Election Commission of Pakistan,
β€œOn July 25, the hidden powers intervened in elections and elected their favorite candidates by rigging and stealing public mandate, 2018 Elections breaks all record of rigging in the history of Pakistan,” Molvi Noor ullah said and added that MMA call today we have blocked all national and international highways to record our protest.
The road blockages caused immense hardships for the passengers traveling from every corner of the country and prolong cues of vehicles and passenger busses were seen on all major highways.
The Protesters blocked highways in Taftan, Naushki, Dalbandin, Bolan, Chaman, Sibi Dasht and other areas of the province.
