CCTV cameras to be installed in all polling stations: Agha Umar

QUETTA: Candidates for Provincial and National Assembly must follow the rules and regulations announced by Election Commission of Pakistan, caretaker Government will take strict actions against violation of ECP rules. Agha Umar Bangulzai said.
He shared these views on Thursday while charring a high-level meeting regarding law and order and security arrangement for General Elections.
Commissioner Quetta Division Muhammad Hashim Ghalzai had given detailed briefing to the Interim Home Minister regarding polling arrangement and security measure for polling staff in Quetta District.
“The District Administration has been utilizing all resources to prelude all candidates over following ECP rules and regulations regarding their elections’ campaigns in Quetta, security plan has been finalized for elections while extra forces will be deployed in sensitive polling station in the premises of Quetta Division.” Commission Quetta informed the meeting.
Addressing the members participated in security meeting Interim Home Minister Agha Umar Bangulzai said, we have to finalize all election arrangement in short time therefore we all have to utilize our earnest efforts to provide secure and conducive election environment to the people of Balochistan,
“Free and fair elections is priority of caretaker set up in Balochistan, therefore we can’t allow political candidates to violate Election Commission’s rules and regulations.” Agha Umar Bangulzai said and directed authorities to take action against candidates violating ECP’s regulations.
Talking on the security arrangements for General Election in Balochistan he said, extra deployment of Police, Levis and Frontier Corps underway in sensitive polling stations while CCTV cameras would be installed in all polling stations to avoid any mismanagement during polling day.
He said, a session with leaders of all political parties must be called to discuss Election Commission rules.
