lauddin Marri named as Balochistan Interim CM


08/06/18   QUETTA balochistanExpress: One of the most favorite name of former CM Balochistan Qudus Bizenjo, Election Commission of Pakistan has named Alauddin Marri as caretaker CM Balochistan on Thursday.
Additional Secretary Election Commission Akhter Nazir announced the electoral watchdog decision during a news conference in Islamabad.
The development came after Qudus Bizenjo boycotted Parliamentary Committee set to finalize caretaker CM Balochistan, on Wednesday the opposition Parliamentary Committee members comprising on former Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Dr. Malik Baloch and Agha Liaquat sent four name to the Election Commission.
Alla ud Din Marri son of former Bureaucrat Muhi ud Din Marri hailed from District Mastung born in 1979 in Killi Ashkana some 44km far from the provincial capital Quetta. After completing preliminary education from Tameer e Nau School and College Mr. Marri Graduated from University of Balochistan and moved towards business filed, he also remained as Chairman of Pakistan European Business Counsil.
During last Senate Election Alla ud Din Marri was willing to contest independently but later withdrawn his nomination papers following personal reasons.
The Election Commission of Pakistan had to intervene to end deadlock aimed Government and Opposition to finalize a unanimous name. Despite six round of talks between Qudus Bizenjo and Opposition leader Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal they foiled develop consensus on caretaker CM Balochistan.
What Government Internal sources said, from the first day Alla ud Din Marri was the most favorite name among government circle, and they were stressing upon him to hold charge of caretaker CM Balochistan.
On Thursday the Election Commission of Pakistan ECP’s electoral watchdog selected Alla ud Din Marri as caretaker CM Balochistan from four names sent to the committee. Shoukat Populzai, Ashraf Jahangir Qazi and Aslam Bhoani were in the list sent to ECP by Parliamentary Committee members.
Alla ud Din Marri has been named as 7th caretaker Chief Minister of Balochistan Province. Justice retired Khuda Buksh Marri was the first caretaker CM Balochistan during 1980s and Nawab Ghos Buksh Barozai led the province towards election process during 2013.
