France vs Netherlands 4-0 Highlights 2018 World Cup Qualifiers
A brace from Thomas Lemar and a solitary strike from Antoine Griezman helped France claim a 4-0 win Netherlands in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.
After a quiet start, the home side broke the deadlock in the 14th minute as Antoine Griezmann played a neat one-two with Olivier Giroud before slotting through the legs of Japser Cillessen.
The home side dominated for most of the opening 30 minutes if the encounter, although clear-cut chances were hard to come by.
The Dutch, on the other hand, struggled to get the ball of their opponents, which led to a lack of opportunities.
That proved to be the trend for the rest of the opening stanza, as the French went into the break leading by one-goal.
Paul Pogba had a chance to double France's lead in the 53rd minute, but Cillessen produced a good save to deny the Manchester United midfielder in the box.
Netherlands' task was made even tougher 10 minutes later when Kevin Strootman was sent off for a second bookable offence.
France eventually doubled their lead in the 73rd minute as Lemar volleyed the ball into the top corner.
Didier Deschamps opted to introduce the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Kylian Mbappe for the final 15 minutes of the second half.
Lemar completed his brace in the 88th minute as Griezmann turned to provider to tee up the AS Monaco winger for the simple tap-in, 3-0.
Mbappe rounded off the scoring two minutes later with a composed finish from the edge of the box, after being teed up by Sidibe.
